Fun Facts about the Ganges river dolphin
The Ganges river dolphin can only be found in the fresh water rivers of Bangladesh, India, and Nepal.
These dolphins are known to migrate into different areas of the river when flood season is occurring.
Other dolphin species are also in deep danger of becoming extinct because they have been on the endangered species list since the 1950s.
In India or Nepal, you can stop by the river banks of the Ganges to find the rare species of the Ganges river dolphin.
Some types of dolphins can move swiftly in order to capture their food but the Ganges river dolphin moves slower than other species.
The Ganges river dolphin swims close to the bottom of the river floor sideways, while opening it’s snout whenever food is seen close by.
